Mom and Dad: Day 2

First of all, I forgot to put in the pictures of Mom and Dad on the ride from Day 1 so here they are:

                                                     

And now for Day 2!  We went on a train ride for our big fun thing for that day.  Our cute friend Wade is a conductor and he smuggled us on :)  It was a clear day and absolutely beautiful!

This is our cute friend Angie that works at Dog camp.  She got on with us and we absolutely adore her!

This is at a place called Long Bay.  We pass it every day when we drive in and out of town and it’s one of the #1 photo spots around :) 

We also saw a bear that night so just a few more sweet pictures!

  Yup, he was chasing people!  It was a little intense for a while!

That night we had an ax/hatchet throwing contest.  We all managed to get it to stick at least once, but Mom’s took a bit longer than everyone else so we had to document that she really had done it.  You go Mom!

Mom and Dad’s trip: Day 1

Our parents had the glorious opportunity to come up and visit us for an entire week!  They tell me that they had a blast so I surely hope that they did.  They were extreme troopers and stayed with us out at our camp and it was quite enjoyable to squeeze everyone into our little cabin, but we sure made do and had a blast with it.  We did tons of cool things and my dad is a picture maniac so I have a bunch of his pictures that I’ll put up.  I want to include a lot, mostly for my own sake :) so I’m going to tell you one day at a time what we did! 

First, when they first got here off the ferry and got to where we could see them, Audrey and I just burst into tears, ok, mostly me :) but I just didn’t realize how much I missed them and how good it was to see them again.  It was magnificent!  So, I won’t count that night as a day because we only saw them for a few hours and didn’t take any picture.  So our first full day we had the chance to have Mom and Dad come on a ride with us on the horses and they loved it.  It was Mom’s first time on a horse since they’ve been married she said and she got Peaches and she loved her.  Dad got Tuff and loved him too!  Dad was embarrassed that he had to wear a helmet so we won’t give him too hard of a time about it.  They mostly just hung around our camp though because we still had to work that day. 

 

We also made a visit to dog camp to play with puppies!

Then came our grizzly!  We saw one almost every night.  So cool!

International Falls

So, I have been horrible lately at updating because so many fun things have been happening :)  Well, at least some stuff!  So, I am going to do a series of updates so I hope you are all ready!  First, we were able to hike international falls with some friends from church and it was absolutely phenomenal!  We had our first sunny day in a while and it was just beautiful.  It’s right on the border of Canada and the US/Alaska.  We had a blast though and all of the people we went with were just great!  Here are some pictures and I’ll try to say who everyone is in them :)  Enjoy!

This is Mike.  He was hilarious in all our pictures and so much fun.  He did the entire hike in bare feet.  He’s kind of like a little monkey.

This is the coolest rock formation ever!  We thought the pictures were pretty sweet too!

  Just so you know, the average water temperature up here is about 45 degrees.  Not too toasty.

And we made it!  How glorious it was too!
